People believe that when a set of twins are apart, if one gets hurt the other ones know. That they can what the other's feeling even when they're apart... I can confirm this theory.
The worst thing that could happen to a twin is to loose his/her double. It's a bit harder to accept than losing a normal brother or sister. Why? because you grew up with them, you experienced the same things at the same time, you told each other secrets because you knew that they'd keep it, you were never alone on the first day of class in a new school, They're like a permanent habit. They don't tease you in the playground because of your lunch box, and when you're crying, their hand is the one that's stretched out and it's their shoulder that they offer, their hugs. When you've got homework to hand it, you do it together. When you complain about something they understand. The simplest things turn into inside jokes.
